Direction for Sanitizing Tanks, and Food Processing Equipment 1. Rinse equipment thoroughly with clean warm water, about 40°C (100°F) immediately after use. Drain. 2. Wash with a solution of a recommended Diversey manual cleaner in hot water. Rinse and drain. 3. Sanitize with a solution of 0.8 mL Adage II detergent per litre of cool water (12.5 ppm titratable iodine). 4. Sanitize immediately before re-use where required by local regulations (see step 3). 5. Allow sanitizing solution to completely drain from equipment prior to contacting food. Do not rinse after sanitizing with Diversey Adage II unless required by local health agencies, then rinse with potable water. Directions for Sanitizing Glasses, Dishes, Utensils and Food Processing Equipment 1. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. 2. Wash with a recommended JohnsonDiversey product. 3. Rinse with potable water 4. Sanitize by immersion in Adage II solution containing 0.8 mL/litre of water, providing 12.5 ppm titratable iodine. Immerse all utensils for at least two minutes or for contact time specified by governing sanitary regulations. 5. Allow sanitizing solution to completely drain from equipment prior to contacting food. Do not rinse after sanitizing with Diversey Adage II unless required by local health agencies, then rinse with potable water. Directions for Spray Sanitizing of Food Processing Equipment 1. Apply a sanitizing solution containing 1.6 mL of Adage II in a litre of cool water providing 25 ppm titratable iodine by spray equipment on to previously cleaned surfaces. Consult equipment manufacturer's instructions for adjusting feed rates. 2. Allow sanitizing solution to completely drain from equipment prior to contacting food. Note: Adage II should not be used in rinse water of over 50°C. The sanitizing solution should be tested periodically with an iodine tester. When solution, which is normally yellow, depreciates to 6.25 ppm iodine and the color fades, the solution should be renewed. Directions for Sanitizing Poultry Crates and Cages 1. Wash thoroughly to remove organic material such as manure and other debris from surface prior to sanitizing. 2. Allow sanitizing solution to completely drain from crates and cages before use.
